On the bench the same id is written once, cross-checked and bound to its coordinates and time.

The custody log opens with the first entry and every later handover appends to the same page.

Instruments read the bottle with the id attached, and each measurement inherits the full journey.

The circuit closes at the archive rail, the chain link snaps shut and the shelf never loses the record.
